The Fit EV Will Get Incredible Mileage

The Fit EV is an all-electric car that was first introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show back in 2010 as a concept vehicle, and auto enthusiasts quickly responded to it’s incredible value in efficiency and eco-friendliness. The new 2013 Fit EV coming soon to New York Honda dealers will be powered by a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is paired with a 92 kW electric motor. If the electric motor sounds familiar, it is because Honda has equipped the EV with the same motor as the one found in their fuel-cell electric vehicle, the Honda FCX Clarity. Honda has said that high-speed charging stations will have the EV’s electric motor completely charged in a mere three hours. Once the car is fully charged, it will be capable of traveling up to an impressive 123 miles!

The New Honda Fit EV Will Make its Way to the East Coast in Early 2013

The Honda Fit is a popular small subcompact car that is widely commended for its crisp handling, adaptable interior, high-quality finish, and affordability. As of now, Honda has not announced the exact starting price for the 2013 model, although we expect it to be priced similar to the Nissan Leaf. The EV is set to be released next year in Oregon and California as a lease-only vehicle. By early 2013, the EV will expand to six states across the east coast. At this point, it is still unclear when the new car will be available nationwide.
