The 2015 Honda Fit Features a Number of Changes

Black Honda FitSmall cars are in, and Honda knows it. The Honda Fit has built a strong fan base in this growing market thanks to it subcompact size and price tag, as well as its lean appetite when it comes to sipping gasoline. And though it has aged well, the popular Fit hasn’t seen large changes since 2007, making it well overdue for a make-over.

Honda recently pulled the tarp off of the all-new, 2015 Honda Fit, marking the launch of its 3rd generation. The new 2015 Fit has a large list of changes, including a simultaneously smaller exterior and larger interior. Sounds too good to be true? Nope, it’s just the new Fit.

How is the New Model Different?

Honda went back to the drawing board for this one, and we mean all the way back, revising everything from the Fit’s drivetrain to its very structure. One of the tougher selling points of any subcompact vehicle has always been the room in the rear seat. That worry is behind the new Fit. Honda increased the foot room in the rear seat by nearly five inches, making it an even more passenger friendly car than before.

An all new 1.5L engine increases the Fit’s overall strength to an impressive 130hp. Even better, the Fit is also seeing an increase in fuel economy. Exact estimates have not been released yet, but the vehicle should offer more gas savings than the previous generation. Expect features to stay plentiful The new Fit will be available with Bluetooth connectivity for hands free calling, keyless entry and ignition, and a multi-angle rearview camera.
