The Honda Pilot was already one of the top family SUVs on the market, and the new 2017 model is even more enticing with upgraded technology features now available. This 3-row SUV has plenty of space with high-end comfort features and the new technologies make it that much more of a winning model. Keep reading to learn more about the changes to the tech features and some of its other standout amenities.
Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™
It’s clear that the Honda Pilot was already a popular SUV among our Goshen and Monroe customers because of its numerous accolades and vast number of high-end features, but with the addition of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto it is likely to increase in popularity. The 2017 Honda Pilot will see Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on all trims except the LX. These new technologies allow drivers to keep connected to their smartphone and access apps on the improved 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen. In addition, the touchscreen will now be fingerprint resistant for added elegance. The system also comes with HondaLink, SiriusXM radio, Pandora compatibility, SMS text function, and Song by Voice®.
In addition to the newly available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 2017 Honda Pilot comes with a number of high-end amenities as standard including Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® and Streaming Audio, speed-sensitive volume control, and push-button start. Goshen and Monroe drivers can also select higher level trims that include roof rails, a power tailgate, tri-zone climate control, HomeLink® Remote System, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats.
Safety remains a top priority in the 2017 Honda Pilot, and every model comes equipped with active safety features including Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, and a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines. Upper-level trims will come with added safety features like Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
