Do You Need the More Expensive Gas?
Ever go to the gas station and wonder, “would my car run better if I chose the extra premium gas?” According to Jalopnik, there’s no need to buy the premium gas if your car only requires regular quality. Every car comes with a recommended octane rating for fuel which can usually be found in a user manual or online. This rating can sometimes be found on the pump as 87 for unleaded, 89 for premium, and 93 for extra premium. If your car requires a higher octane rating fuel, putting in a lower rated fuel could potentially harm your engine. However, if you decide to use premium gas while your car does just fine with regular, you could be wasting money. That said, all of our Hondas take regular fuel.
