The Advantages of the 2013 Honda Crosstour

May 20th, 2013 by

2013 Honda CrosstourHalf hatchback, half crossover, and half wagon, the 2013 Honda Crosstour is in a class of its own. Alright, so our math may be off a bit, but that doesn’t diminish the fact that the Crosstour is one of the most unique vehicles available. Why? It has the space and performance of a smaller crossover SUV and the handling and streamlined look of a car. And while these two would seem to add up to a full wagon, the Crosstour is something different.

Powertrain

Aside from its refreshing, yet aggressive looking stance and fascia, one of the best parts about the 2013 Honda Crosstour is its available V6 option. With 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque, the V6 option really makes taking the Crosstour out for a drive treat, whether if it’s on your next camping trip or just to the office. Despite the power, the V6 option offers a 30 mpg highway fuel economy. Bumping up to the 4WD option keeps efficiency around a cozy 28 mpg on the highway.*

Storage Capacity

The Crosstour looks like a beefed-up Accord for a reason; they share the same base platform. The difference, of course, though, is the large trunk space that the Crosstour delivers. With a full five-passenger load, there’s an impressive 25.7 cubic feet of cargo space to play with. Knock the split 60/40 seats down and you’ve increased that area to 51.3 cubic feet.

Folding the seats down is a cinch, too. There’s no more crawling around to pull the latch on the back of the seats; simply pull the handle located right inside the trunk to activate the spring mechanism that pulls them down.

Vehicle Features

Like the Honda Accord, the 2013 Crosstour comes with a full list of impressive features, including:

  • Honda’s i-MID system with Bluetooth handsfree calling and a rearview camera
  • Illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls for audio / Bluetooth / cruise control
  • A tilting and telescoping steering wheel
  • A USB and auxiliary input jacks for the sound system
